The Victoria Falls Hotel

The Victoria Falls Hotel is situated in the Victoria Falls National Park itself and is an Edwardian-style five-star property built in 1904, which  effortlessly combines the charm of the old with the convenience of the new.

Set in delightful tropical gardens with lily ponds, palm trees and semi-tropical shrubs, it provides tranquillity and seclusion. The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away using a private pathway, and “the smoke that thunders” is clearly audible and visible from the Hotel’s grounds.

The Victoria Falls hotel has 161 rooms in total: 37 standard rooms, 58 traditional rooms, 48 deluxe rooms, 7 junior suites, 4 honeymoon
suites, 6 executive suites and the Royal Suite. All rooms are air conditioned with every modern amenity including digital satellite television and a personal safe. Inter-leading rooms are also available for families where parents can occupy a room that links the neighbouring children’s room through a private doorway.

Each room with its own unique look, but all feature digital satellite TV, safe, bath and shower, bar fridge (only in deluxe rooms and suites), hairdryer,
air conditioning, telephone, complimentary early morning tea/ coffee

A large swimming pool, two tennis courts, a library, reading rooms and chapel are part of the Hotel’s grounds. Golfers can enjoy 18 holes on the championship course of the nearby sister hotel, Elephant Hills Resort.

Enjoy dinner and dance in the elegant Livingstone Room, with a classic a la carte and table d’hôte menus. Although the Livingstone Room reflects the century old hotels style of grandeur and opulence, the dress code has been relaxed.

Alternatively, you can dine at the Jungle Junction, with its fusion of African flavours. Live entertainment epitomises the spirit of
Africa.  At Stanley’s Terrace, you can enjoy light meals throughout the day. Traditional high tea is served every afternoon, with spectacular views of The Victoria Falls Bridge and the Victoria Falls themselves. Stanley’s Terrace is the ideal location for sun downers and offers a table d'hôte menu with an a la carte menu on offer after 1100hrs.

Enjoy the hotel’s famous cocktails or a gin and tonic at Stanley’s Bar whilst listening to the roar of the mighty Victoria Falls. Located next to the poolside this open air bar serves a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Hotel also has a small beauty spa, with two massage beds in the hotel and one at the poolside. All staff are qualified beauticians, and offer a range of treatments from massage, facials, pedicures and manicures.
